About Marylee Abrams

Marylee Abrams has worked as a labor and employment attorney for the past 25 years. She previously worked for the teacher’s union and the largest police union in the State of Minnesota serving dual roles representing both union members and union management in internal workplace matters. This unique perspective from both sides of the table, lead her to open her own firm in 2008, dedicated solely to representing employers. She has arbitrated numerous disciplinary cases, been involved in both representing employees and conducting over 1,000 internal investigations, and lectured at numerous labor and employment seminars. Her firm covers a broad range of workplace issues facing employers including; union organizing, contract negotiations, arbitrations, unemployment challenges, unfair labor practices, workplace investigations, lay-offs, employee discipline, performance problems, employee handbooks, policies and procedures, and downsizing.

About Tiffany L. Schmidt

Tiffany L. Schmidt worked as a paralegal for three years in La Crosse, Wisconsin before deciding to go to law school. She then worked for nine years at the largest police union in the State of Minnesota. During this time she gained valuable labor and employment law experience negotiating labor agreements, arbitrating both interest and grievance cases, and representing union members in hundreds of internal affairs investigations. In 2008, she and her law partner, Marylee Abrams decided to bring their 30+ combined years of experience to benefit management and opened their firm, Abrams & Schmidt LLC. Tiffany's practice focuses on representing Employers in labor and employment matters.
